Private Hire: Weddings
We are delighted to offer The Sacred Gaden, part of The Walled Garden at Mells, for your wedding blessing and celebration. Whist we are not licensed for legal ceremonies, our space provides a beautiful setting for your blessing. If you prefer to have your ceremony elsewhere you are most welcome to hire for a drink's reception with canapés, and / or your wedding breakfast.
Our garden is a stunning location but as a hire only venue you have the option to decorate and coordinate your day as you wish, and we are happy to assist with suggestions and / or details of local suppliers.
We offer a BYO alcohol option. Pay corkage on alcohol you provide, this can be champagne, prosecco or wine. We will provide glassware and will chill your drinks. We are happy to provide serving staff upon request.
We can provide quotes for catering from Jesse Gilchrist at The Walled Garden Café or you are able to use your own caterers.
Wedding Packages – 2026/2027:
Bronze: Drinks and Canapes – up to 2 hours - £500 – Venue Hire only
Hold your drinks reception in our beautiful Sacred Garden, with time for informal photographs.
Silver: Drinks and Canapes, with an informal light wedding breakfast – up to 4 hours - £850 – Venue Hire only
As above but after informal photographs you will have the garden for a further two hours to enjoy a buffet style wedding breakfast whilst guests continue to mingle amongst the borders and enjoy the beautiful setting.
Gold: Drinks and Canapes, with a formal wedding breakfast – up to five hours £1250 - Venue Hire only
As ‘silver’ but with a more formal sit-down meal.
Platinum: A Blessing – up to an hour - £250 - Venue Hire only
You also have the option to add a blessing to any of the packages above – whilst not legally binding, a blessing offers the meaning, emotion and symbolism of a traditional legal ceremony – you can exchange vows, include readings, poems or music and create a truly memorable start to your celebration in the spectacular setting of The Sacred Garden.
