About The Event

Course overview 

As part of our Wellbeing Through Art series of courses, Somerset Skills and Leanrning are holding a 5 week programme in the beautiful surroundings of  our Walled Gardens. We will explore how creativity can help with mental and emotional wellbeing and how the creative process can help calm, relax and support your mental wellbeing.

In these supportive and relaxed sessions, you will explore a range of artistic mediums and techniques that suit you. What better thing to do than explore your creativity in the midst of nature?

This is a 5 week course that welcomes beginners, and the more experienced among you, to enjoy creativity in this stunning environment.

Course assessment 

There are no formal assessments for this course. The tutor will give regular feedback to help you improve.

 Course progression 

Our Community Learning workshops and courses are designed to improve confidence, self-esteem, resilience and motivation.  At the end of the workshop or course, you will discuss with our tutor, how you can continue to expand on your learning. This may be activities to continue with what you have learnt, and/or signposting to other courses and workshops available within SS&L or external organisations.

You may wish to attend our other free community learning workshops and courses related to your personal and professional development.

This course is for absolute beginners and the more experienced amongst you. There are no qualifications, just a willingness to learn and lots of enthusiasm.

There is a £5.00 flat rate charge that includes all materials if you are aged over 19, live in Somerset and have lived in the UK/EU for the last three years
