Neil will share the methods and tricks he has learnt working for the National Trust weaving birch and hazel with other materials to make discreet and cheap plant supports and wigwams. We will look at all aspects of good staking and support including how to support heavier plants like dahlias and peony. He will share tips on the best time to stake plus materials and suppliers and tricks so your plants will need less support as well as how to resuscitate the garden after a storm or the onslaught from footballs and unruly pets!
